A classic sneaker born after ANATOMICA developed an original last and went through 12 rounds of sample production.

Because we prioritize fitting above all else, we have not previously offered this item via mail order; however, it is now available in our official online shop for the first time thanks to the creation of a "paper measurement sheet" that allows you to measure your feet by yourself at home.

As indicated by the "SCIENTIFIC SHOE FITTING" phrase printed on the insole, the shoes feature an "asymmetric, inside-straight, outside-curve" shape characteristic of orthopedic shoes.

The arch of the foot is held securely, and there is extra room (toe spring/allowance) in the toe area. This creates a stress-free fit. Since these shoes have extra toe room, the ideal state is one where nothing hits the front of your toes. The perfect size is one where you feel more room at the toes than in your usual shoes while also feeling the hold on your arch.

We employ the rarely used "vulcanized manufacturing method." Rather than sewing the canvas upper to the rubber sole, the two are heat-bonded together, resulting in a soft, comfortable fit that feels closer to being barefoot.

　Items needed: Paper measurement sheet, tape, pen, and a box-like object.
1. Print the paper measurement sheet (Please print on A4 paper at "actual size." If the print size is inaccurate, the measured values will be off.)
2. Fold the paper measurement sheet into a valley fold along the "guide line."
3. Place a box-like object (you can substitute a stack of books or magazines) along a wall, align the valley-folded edge of the measurement sheet with it, and tape it to the floor.
4. Align your heel with the "guide line," and if measuring your left foot, align the inside of your left foot with the vertical "guide line." At this time, stand with your feet together, stand naturally, and look straight down. Use a pen to mark the spot indicated by the longest part of your foot. (Please be careful not to hurt your toes.) That point is your foot length. Leaning too far forward or putting your weight on your heels may lead you to choose the wrong size.
5. Measure the other foot as well. Most people have a difference in size between their left and right feet. Measure both feet and choose the size based on the longer one. If you are concerned about foot width or instep height, please be sure to contact us. We recommend taking a photo from directly above and sending it to us for an inquiry. Depending on your foot width and instep, we may recommend going up or down a half size from the length-based measurement.
