ANATOMICA "HINOKI" is a fragrance
inspired by hinoki—a sacred wood that has been used for centuries in the construction of Japanese temples and shrines.
Hinoki is also widely used for traditional bathtubs like the hinoki furo, as well as for furniture and architectural fittings.
In Japan, hinoki symbolizes purity, tranquility, and spiritual peace.
Its wood shavings are sometimes placed in chests and storage spaces to provide fragrance,
and its scent is fresh, with a hint of lemon-like brightness,
slightly smoky, and above all, deeply woody.
ANATOMICA "HINOKI" expresses the spirituality of this sacred tree itself through scent.
By layering Japanese hinoki with Atlas and Chinese cedarwood,
sandalwood, wild juniper (cade), and frankincense resin,
we have created a fragrance with deep, multi-layered wood notes.
