ARCHITECT BELT

The "ARCHITECT BELT," crafted by DAHLMAN, a long-established Danish leather factory founded in 1807.

At ANATOMICA, it is commonly known as the "HOOK BELT."

Produced without change since the 1940s, this belt is known, as its name suggests, for having been favored by architects. During the 1950s and 60s, it was chosen by many leading figures of Danish Modernism, such as Arne Jacobsen and Børge Mogensen, as well as many cultural figures like Miles Davis. Its universal design is even housed in the collection of the Danish Arts Foundation.

Its most significant feature is its minimalist structure, which eliminates the buckles found on standard belts. By minimizing metal components, the design highlights the beauty of the leather itself, quietly elevating any outfit.

For the material, we use vegetable-tanned cowhide leather, which develops a deeper luster and character the more it is used. It is finished by hand, piece by piece, in a German workshop.
