While typical coats are made by sewing two pieces of fabric together at the top of the shoulder, this coat uses a single, continuous piece of fabric to create the raglan sleeve. This eliminates any tension from the shoulder peak to the cuff, resulting in a beautifully draping silhouette.
This construction, known as a "single-piece sleeve," requires advanced techniques that are rarely seen in modern manufacturing.
